Tennis League VR was initially created as a tool to learn tennis and practice exercises, and later evolved into a full-fledged game available on the Meta Quest Store.
The first rule in development was to implement a physically realistic training system.

In Tennis League VR, players can customize their avatar, including name, nationality, height, dominant hand, and standard racket positioning.

It is also possible to choose between different game modes, various opponents in single-player mode (yes, there is also a Tournament mode), and multiple courts with different types of terrain.

The game also features an online mode and a training mode with guidance on stroke posture, calibrated with the help of expert instructors.

Last but not least, the app includes the minigame Droid Rush, a tower defense-style reinterpretation of tennis.

My Role in the Project

My role in the project Tennis League VR initially was Senior Unity Programmer and, later in production, I acted as a technical reference for support and targeted interventions.

In the early phase, I was particularly involved as it was necessary to define the core application and the set of features and mechanics, including teleportation logic and opponent AI, encompassing movements and reactions to hits.

I also supported the tech artists in the optimization process to ensure good framerate stability even on Oculus Quest 2.

Once the core components were defined, I participated in implementing the multiplayer system and Inverse Kinematics on player avatars.

I conducted knowledge transfer and, compatibly with other tasks I was assigned, remained available for consultations and targeted interventions throughout the entire duration of the project.
