The Sea Rider
Advergame for MSC Cargo to communicate sustainability.
The Sea Rider is the first navigation game developed by a global leader in the shipping and logistics sector: MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company.
It is an advergame for Android and iOS, developed on behalf of MSC Cargo. It features a level-based structure with slingshot mechanics and a global leaderboard.
Each scenario includes gameplay elements such as currents (boosts), coins, and obstacles that reduce the sustainability bar, which represents the player's life. All elements were manually placed during the level design phase.
Levels are named after real ships, departures, and destinations along the routes operated by MSC Cargo.
The game is available on the Google Play and Apple App stores.

My Role in the Project
My role in the The Sea Rider project was that of a Unity Programmer.
I participated in the development of the project's core, handling the management of level selection menus and the loading of game scenes. Additionally, I developed the slingshot movement mechanic, the level state machine (waiting for the shot, movement in progress, defeat, level timer), and the mechanics for the ship's interaction with level design objects, such as currents, coins, and obstacles.
