Ciapa Bubbles

Casual bubble-popping game.

Global Game JamVideo gamePCSingle and multiplayer

Inside a Milanese-vibe aquarium, you gotta be fast and smart: collect the Bubbles, dodge all the obstacles (and a sneaky furball), and build the Pesce Imbruttito's nest.

If you want to share some joys and a lot of "smadonne", try out Team Working: build the nest together in coop mode with split screen.

My Role in the Project

My role in the project Ciapa Bubbles was Lead Programmer and Producer.

In the initial phase, with the Jam theme still secret, I helped form the team, thinking ahead about the type of project to create within the 48 hours available.

Once the theme was revealed and brainstorming began, I contributed to defining a lean, fun, and quick-to-implement project. The goal was to create a complete and enjoyable game for the portfolio, while trying to minimize stress for the team.

Once production started, I took part in programming and managed coordination with the Design, Sound, and Art departments. This way, I facilitated the work of the other programmer, allowing them to focus on the main implementations and always have the necessary materials on time.

Additionally, I supported the Design Team in level design of the game scenario and in using Fork and GitHub.

In the end, there was still stress, but we survived and, most importantly, completed the development of a fully functioning game.
