My Role in the Project
My role in the academic project 2201: Mars Experience was Lead Programmer.
Once the theme of the project was defined, I actively participated in the brainstorming for the concept proposal. The result was the first Virtual Reality project produced by a student team at Digital Bros Game Academy.
With many programmers on the team but even more designers, my role throughout the development process was to coordinate between departments. I oversaw implementation matters and the availability of design and graphic assets.
I maintained a close relationship with the Project Manager to ensure precise alignment and intervene quickly when necessary.
In the development department, I organized the programmers' activities: one handled interactions and VR UX, another implemented puzzle mechanics in the scenes, while a third worked on the companion's movement logic and interaction with the player.
Although ambitious for a student team and complex to coordinate, we completed development on schedule, delivering a fully functional game on Oculus Rift.
